SEVEN DAYS OF SHIRAZ & VENISON:
A SHOWCASE OF SUBLIME FOOD AND WINE

Winter is not only the season for red wine but also the time when exotic meat varieties such as Springbok, Zebra, Kudu etc find their way onto the table and Shiraz is without a doubt the drink for the occasion. It is a known fact that Shiraz, with its sweet and spicy nuances shares a unique flavour bond with South African game meat, creating a unique tasting experience.

Seven Days of Shiraz & Venison traditionally centres around 21 August, South Africa’s National Shiraz Day, and the seven days following this date. However, several events take place on one or certain dates only with some participants opting to extend it for the entire month of August.

Programs vary from feasts of Shiraz and game to winemaker-led tastings of rare vintages, quick and simple pairings for fast visits, savoury and sweet culinary innovations and much more.

This event is the perfect occasion to get out and about in the magnificent Cape winelands in the company of friends.
